Time for you to get a cup of coffee/tea and make yourself
comfortable. We are moving onto Mary Louise Brown's grandmother Maria
Woerner Moeckel. who remarried when she came to Barkerville. She married
a John Christian Hagarman on 14 Mar 1882, in Barkerville. The marriage
certificate provides us with her father and mother's names as, Johanas
Warner and Anna Elizabeth Petzerner, both surnames are misspelled. The
should be either Woerner or Werner and Petzinger.

Maria died in Barkerville on July 23, 1889. So cousins, you have another
ancestor buried in the Barkerville cemetery, that would make two
generations.

I
always wonder why our ancestors decided to travel all the way to the
West Coast of Canada. Maria Moeckel (Mockel) in looking for her
husband's death I came across a number of Moeckels living in Washington
State.
I'm still hunting for Henry Nicholas Brown's origins. I'm
also trying to find where Maria Moeckel's husband Johanas Moeckel died
and when.
